THE Brisket Post (smoked, of course)

It's time to round up hornfans collective knowledge. There have been tons of great threads on here in the past about smoking a brisket or 7, but until know all that knowledge has been spread out, and unfortnately some of the best ones have faded into Bolivia. My hopes are that this will become, much like Crayon is trying to do with diamonds, the post that anyone on hornfans can come pull up when ever they have a question about how to smoke a kick *** brisket.

For right now, I'm just going to link to some other threads, but my hopes are that people (cough, brisketexan, cough) will add to this thread as time goes on, and any one with a question that wasn't answered before can post on here and have it answered in short order.

To start it all off, we have Brisket 101, a great post by austintexas with some useful discussion from the usual suspects.

Next, a question was recently raised about interrupting the cooking of your brisket, in a thread simply titled "Brisket Question", something I've never tried but I'm sure someone will want to do again in the future.

And finally, I'm not sure when any of us mere mortals will attempt something so audacious, but the man, the myth, the legend; brisketexan had a great thread with about Somking 7 Brskets for a big event.

That's it for now. Please add any links to any threads I have missed, and any general knowledge that hasn't been covered. And please, mods, don't let this post fade into Bolivia as well.
 
None of the threads on this board die, which is why it will be heavily moderated as to topic.
Brisket is far too diverse a subject to be contained in one thread. The multitude of useful threads on the subject will be kept.
