I never really listened to this band, thought they were a White Stripes ripoff. I was very wrong, really like Attack & Release.

It is nice to have some real rock-n-roll, amplified rhythm and blues. Indeed a band to see @ ACL.

Are the earlier albums like this one?

The earlier albums are more bluesy. Check out Rubber Soul, The Big Come Up and Thickfreakness. They are all excellent. They also put on a great live show. I've seen them 8 times and still can't believe that 2 guys could produce that much noise.

The Big Come Up is still my favorite

Saw them in Denver a couple of weeks ago. First time seeing them in a non festival setting. Incredible.

Now the news that they'll be opening for MMJ at Red Rocks in August. That, my friends, will be a show...

Danger Mouse produced "Attack And Release" and I really love what he did on it. It sounds less raw than their previous albums but I like that aspect of it. It's still pretty rough around the edges and what they did with musical space on it is awesome.

I think the songwriting is the best of any album. Early contender for album of the year, I think.

Had no idea DM produced this, great sound.

"Things Ain't Like They Used To Be" is straight late Beatles/Traffic/Clapton sounding and greatness.
