True freshman QB in his first game. Highly recruited. Obviously with a bunch of talent, can pass, but a couple of freshman mistakes so far. He just threw his second pick to the same defender deep in FSU territory. Much, much different look from GTech than what we've been used to.

GTech just returned the favor and intercepted FSU. FSU still up 10-0, but GaTech is at FSU 22. Just as I wrote that, FSU sacked GTech QB. . . . FSU has blocked two GTech field goal attempts in a row. True freshman GTech kicker in his first game. Guaranteed nightmares tonight. GTech QB almost threw another pick. Defender dropped one right in his hands. . . . FSU still up 10-0 at half

Houston Baptist has cut it down to 21-20. Kansas down 14-0 to Coastal Carolina. This conference is looking really weak. If we're challenged much by anybody besides the two Oklahoma schools, we have problems.

South Florida, who we would have been playing in our opening game, set an unbreakable record with a 0 yard punt return for a touchdown.

The Citadel punter dropped the snap in the back of his own end zone and it took a weird bounce away from him. When he got to it, he tried to just scoop it up and boot it in one quick motion - as otherwise he'd have been tackled before getting the punt off. But he only got part of the tip of the ball, so it fluttered about 15 yards up in the air and towards the sideline, but only like 5 yards forward, and was caught still in the endzone for an immediate touchdown.

FSU lost as well - that program is in the dumpster - they had several years of their version of the Charlie Strong Experience as their head coach. Should be able to turn it around eventually, but similar to the Herman opening game stinker against Maryland.
