Iowa State at 6 wins

A & M = 11 (10 if we can get them here)
O-Pew = 9

Since we beat K-State, we aaaaaare #4 !!!!

Yes, 8-8 is what quite a few have been predicting for a while now, and there's a good chance that would put us fourth in the Big12. Perhaps a little surprising since that's where we were supposed to end up before Cokie's injury but the production of Chassidy and mid-season return of Kristen have certainly helped compensate for the loss. There are some contests where the loss of Cokie is much more evident, or more of a factor, and yesterday's game was certainly one of them! Six left to play so have to keep pushing forward and taking one game at a time.

Team's still in fifth, two losses behind KSU. We catch KSU and Horns have the tiebreaker.

Forgot that KSU and ISU play today at 4pm. If ISU wins, they move into a tie with us at 5-5 while KSU drops to 6-4. A win for KSU leaves us alone in 5th at 5-5 while KSU goes to 7-3.

K-State has two left to play vs. ISU and also face A&M, Baylor and NU duirng their final 7-game stretch. You would expect them to lose a couple of those, and possibly more, but the Horns also have some tough contests remaining. ISU actually looks to have the easiest road home (no Baylor, A&M or OU) but we all know that means nothing in the Big12; they just lost to Kansas last time out so anything can happen. My prediction...whichever of these three squads wins the most of their remaining contests will end up 4th in the Big12

If you haven't seen this, try it. A hoopscoop poster developed a Big 12 seeding generator. Go through and pick who you think will win the remaining Big 12 contests and the program figures out the seedings for the Big 12 tourney including all the tie-break scenarios. I'm coming up with Texas finishing 8-8 for a fifth place finish behind KSU. But I could see us finishing 7-9 or 9-7.

Thanks for the link, that was a lot of fun. I actually came out with the Horns in 4th, but all that does is put us in a first game (and second round matchup) with the Bears! My calculations have both Horns and KSU finishing at 9-7 with us winning the tiebreak; obviously this means we win all games except TAMU and OU (or upset one of them but lose one to someone else), and KSU losing to BU, Ags and Sooners and splitting with ISU.

Definitely a lot of possible outcomes. And after last night's contest I'm wondering if we might have an easier time having to play an extra game in the Big12 tourney but ending up on the Ags side of the bracket. Oh well, too many possibilities, let's see what happens!

ISU up 11 at the half; I'm actually pulling for KSU as I think it's likely they'll lose 3, and possibly 4 of their last 7. ISU's toughest remaining contests may well be the two vs. K-State so a win tonight could very well give them the upper hand for the #4 seed.

KSU has made quite the comeback...was looked to be a blowout at the half is now 50-46 with 3.08 to go

ISU pulled it out 61-53. That leaves ISU tied with Texas at 5-5 and KSU just ahead at 6-4. Our game with ISU on the 21st will be critical to getting one of the byes in the Big 12 Tournament. Horns still need to win the next two vs Neb and at OU.
