The 3D Movie Movement

I hate 3D movies. I hate wearing glasses to watch a movie. I realize the movies are trying to draw more people in to theatres since I can now watch a movie at home in HD with a huge screen and eat what I want while I watch in the peace of my own home but all 3D does is make me stay at home more. I don't need to see Jackass the movie in 3d, pirahna 3d, or anything else they have planned. its a gimmick and most of the 3d isnt that great.

i will give credit to avatar. say what you want about plot lines and all that, that was a visual masterpiece and will forever be remembered as what brought 3d into the limelight. but, piranha 3d is **** and most of the 3d movies out have been ****. it seems to me people saw 3d was the hip new thing and went out and put together the quickest 3d thing they could to try and cash in on it. im sure there will be quality 3d films out, but, im sure there were really ****** films in color back when wizard of oz came out.

It'll stay until we can get the technology for stuff like holograms... like in Minority Report or the little communication devices in Star Wars.

Just out of curiosity, have you actually gone and watched Piranha 3D?

i watched it last night. i went for obvious reasons. To see young tight T&A in 3d. best part of the movie was opening scene with richard dreyfus. but the movie was terrible. elizabeth shue has aged well for a late 40 something.

Its dumb. I saw Avatar in 3D and wished it was just normal regular "2D". The 3D aspect wasnt all that special and didnt "jump out" as advertised.

Maybe it was ****** glasses, but these are movies for crying out loud.

Holograms/holodecks are only gonna be good for one thing....

3D has very interesting potential that will probably be mostly wasted by unimaginative Hollywood hacks.

The most original movies for the most part are story driven IMO.

Now get the hell off my yard!
