I enjoyed parts of it, but it seems films of this era were still more stage-y, and didn't worry about the action being plausible as much as expressible.
One issue where I hope I'm just missing something. In Hannay's apartment, who stabbed Smith? There were two guys outside,,,did they do it? Then why were they still there in the morning? Someone else? It just seems implausible that somebody would stab her without making sure she was dead, leave Hannay alone, and then wait around for morning.
