23 players not including if Roy Miller. Also 11 starters in the nfl and possibly 13 depending on if Brian Robinson and Sweed are starters)

How does this team rate vs the 2001 Miami Hurricane team that had tons of players go to the NFL. Also, did I miss anybody or is any of this info wrong???

Damn, I can't believe I forgot him. Thanks.

That makes 19 players in the NFL as of right now on that team.

Tarell Brown is with the 49ers and Nate Jones was signed by the Vikings, and I haven't heard about either of those guys getting cut. They're still on the depth charts on the official team sites. Hills is with the Steelers.

Also, Rod Wright is not starting in Miami, at least not according to anything I have seen. And wasn't Bobino starting at OLB, not Eric Hall?

Great information. It shows we help produce our share of NFL players. Plus we also provide the athletes a great opportunity to get a great education at a university highly respected in academics as well as athltes.

I wish Mr. Taylor had been more careful because I think he would have made it too.

And don't forget other sports where our athletes have done well in the future.

Okay I updated Hills, T Brown, and Nate Jones to the above list.

formermav43,

I know Rod Wright started atleast one game because I think I remember seeing him starting in the rainy game vs pitt (the one Ricky got hurt in).

Also I'm not positive but I think Eric Hall was the starter in 2005 with Kelson backing him up. Am I wrong?

The starting linebackers for most of the season, if I remember correctly, were Harris, Killebrew, and Bobino. Here's the best link I could find, from the Statesman in preseason, listing Bobino as the starting Will (obviously, this changed as the season went on, because it has Killebrew as the backup MLB).

The Link

As far as Rod Wright goes, the Dolphins have switched to a 3-4 Defense, and I believe he's gonna be a backup end.

A combined Texas-USC '05 NFL roster would be awesome. I still say that game was like Godzilla vs. King Kong on the football field. No college matchup before or since can compare, though '71 NU-OU can at least make an argument.

Zuerst,

Charles has already been updated.

What team drafted Finley?

Billy Pitt has been updated.

To answer the OP's question about Roy Miller, he did not red shirt and played a lot that year as a true frosh. In fact I'm pretty sure he was in there stuffing Lendale on 4th and 2.
