thawing/re-freezing steak...

I'm an idiot and thawed my three-pack of ribeyes (only going to eat one). Should I:

A) re-freeze the remaining two (is this doable if I thawed steaks by putting in fridge--no microwave or any of that nonsense)
B) cook all of them and put leftovers in fridge to reheat (and eat 3 steaks in one week, which I don't want to do)
C) list remaining two steaks on craigslist

ok, I was kidding with the last option.

If it was just recently thawed in the fridge, you're fine to refreeze beef.

That you would be even mildly upset at the prospect of eating ribeye three times in a week is beyond me though.

one this up and coming monday and another the following monday. I'll probably eat the third either later that week...

Not sure what that is...

I feel like a dumbass--NEW QUESTION: is it ok to marinate a steak for 48 hours? I whipped up some marinade last night and put it in the fridge (planned on cooking today). On my way home, my friend calls and I hear some sort of combination of "ribs" and "free" so I go over to his place and eat. I FORGOT ABOUT MY STEAK (it's still marinating). I'm going to cook it anyway tomorrow, but could the combination of worc. sauce, mustard, balsamic vinegar and olive oil (and some other dry seasonings) make this excessive marinade turn for the worse?

I feel like I'm starting to sound like a whiny bastard who can't do anything for himself, so I hereby humbly submit to the hornfans gods.

Get a rope. Actually, there are worse things you can do to a steak, but the previous poster's sentiments are the general rule. A good steak needs a hot grill and nothing else. Some fresh cracked pepper and a little sea salt if you want to go crazy.

To answer your question, the steak will be edible, though I doubt it will be the best steak you've ever had. Skip the marinade on steaks 2 and 3.

Hmmm... that olive oil might make it come out a bit stringy.

Update, please.

UPDATE:

Tonight was two for one ribs at Green Mesquite, so I decided to cut my losses and just throw the steak on the George foreman for some "pre-party" eatery. I figured I already made too many mistakes, didn't have anything else to cook with the steak, and ribs were two for one.

Needless to say, it was overcooked and very tough. One of the worst I've had in years... It was a tough loss, as it's always bad to see a steak ruined, but I'll definitely be eating the next one this weekend (minus the marinade) and see what happens.
