thought for sure that the Big 12 was kaput, dead and buried. I'm really glad that it's still around, at least for another six years or so. Now, it's time to find out who gets added to the league to replace aggy.
Yeah, definitely too much drama for me. I don't think a move would have been very good for athletes or fans so let's hope the remaining members stay put and we add a few replacements. My vote is for BYU, TCU and Boise State, although Louisville is being mentioned by quite a people recently. Actually the conference could lose one more if Missouri goes to the SEC - I don't know whether that's likely or not - in which case we would need to add four anyway.
Yeah odds are probably zero that UNT would get in, or even be considered, but Karen Aston is the new WBB coach there. After stints at Texas and Baylor I'm sure she would feel right at home coaching in the Big12 again. I've read a few times that no other Texas schools are going to be considered but I hope that's not the case. While UNT wouldn't be a candidate I would really like to have TCU in the conference. Not sure how I feel about Houston, but most seem to be really opposed to that idea, but Rice might be okay. Great academics and one of the best baseball programs in the country. Honestly I'm clueless when it comes to understanding who might, or might not be a good fit, but my guess is it all revolves around football. Oh well.
