Thanks to the Seniors

While yesterday's loss was very disappointing, Earnie and Erika have battled through injuries, what must have been a difficult coaching change, and endured more disappointments than we, as fans, can understand. And they fought hard through all of this, played hard and always conducted themselves with dignity and great sportsmanship - increasingly not a given in this league. Brittany Raven ran herself ragged for the team every game and her hustle and heart will be missed. Please join me in wishing them all the best in their future endeavors. They have been terrific student-athletes!

Yes, txtreefan. Very good post. No matter the outcome of the season, these three young women deserve so much respect. Yeah, thanks, Erika, Earnie, and Brittainey for helping the program take steps back to national prominence. While the steps did not go as far as you had hoped, they do provide a trail for the others to follow and exceed.

Thanks for all the sweat, blood and tears you have shed in playing for this university and for representing it so well.

Congratulations and all best wishes for these seniors. They are and will continue to be great ambassadors for the University.

I had a high school coach who used to say "I cannot teach height, I cannot teach speed and I am not going to teach CLASS. You need to have that before you show up at our first practice."

Never embarrased on or off of the court.
