Horns fans:

Thanks to those who visited my FAU blog, and thanks for the hospitality on my trip to Austin.

Fun town, great people, and a really tough football team.

Good luck to the Horns the rest of the way. I am hoping we saw them at their best, because if not, then the Owls have a long season ahead.

But give the Belt some cred -- theose Red Wolves took down the Aggies. Got to luv that.

Looking forward to a return trip in 2010.

And if anyone hasn't said it before, the Godzillatron is awesome. It's got to be the biggest HD TV in the world. figures it resides in Texas.

Take care, stay healthy, and win out.

Nice post Ted and thanks for the compliments - glad you had a nice weekend in Austin & were treated well. FAU never quit last night. They have a good team and will contend for the Belt title, but watch out for the Red Wolves! Yes, we are pleased Texas a&m took it on the chin from those guys.

See you in 2010.

Ted,

Thanks for the kind words. Glad you had fun on your trip and good luck the rest of the season. We really had a great game last night and I hope it only improves as the season goes on.

Glad you had a good time in Austin and thanks for coming over. Feel free to stay on board and give us some progress, insight and rumblings about your team during the season.

I think that yours is a solid team that just happened to run into a buzzsaw laden with blue chip caliber talent. I think you guys do just fine and I saw some salty players who will produce over the season. I hope to be able to watch a game or two of yours this year on tv.

You represent your school and team with class. Have a great season! And Godzillatron says thanks as well.

Glad you had a good time in Austin!

I have a question. When FAU took the field , some fans, quite a few, booed. What did you think of that? Is that common place in college football in your conference. I'm old school and just think it is rude. Your thoughts?

Glad to hear you had a good trip, Ted! I always like to hear it when our opposing fans are treated to a good experience in Austin. FAU was overmatched, but y'all do have some talented players on your team. Rusty Smith was really abusing our secondary during the first half.

As for the booing...I can understand it to a degree if we are playing a hated rival such as OU in a highly emotional game. However, booing a team like FAU en masse is just bush league. This time around, I suspect some of it may have been really directed at Schnelly for his comments about Texas prior to the game. I hope it does not reach the point where we regress into Tech or Arky level of fan behavior, though. I would hate to see Texas having to launch a sportsmanship campaign just to teach our fans how to behave. I do realize it is probably a minority of our fans right now.

I thought for sure this was going to be a thread about Lamar Houston.
