Thank you God for another year and CDC

I look back over the last year of Texas athletics and the issues we face, and other teams have faced, do face, and will face in the near future. Most of these issues are fleshed out in multiple threads on this board and are well known even if we all do not agree as to the answers. Texas is in a position to win a title 3 years after Sark and his team took over the biggest mess I have ever seen, and I don't mean losers; I mean anti-Longhorn rot. It made me ill. No intelligent person questions whether Texas is ready to compete and, in many cases, dominate many collegiate sports going forward.

Thank you CDC.

I agree Dave ! I really do

(Deep down I fear this is the apex. Like 1990 or 1995/6. But just getting the culture back in football is the biggest accomplishment. Well done)

CDC is best hire Texas has made in this century and it isn’t even close. In fact, only the hire of Mack in last 40 years is competitive in terms of impact on UT athletics.

Oh, I don't know. Charlie's hire made a big impact in its own way. As did Binder's, and that turd AD whose name I cannot even recall at the moment.

The big picture excites me. With the State of Texas and Austin rapidly rising..finally shucking the Texas stereotype so carefully nurtured by the media for over a hundred years…it seems like we have arrived.

Nebraska, Notre Dame, Aggies and many of the rest are not cool places to live..like Austin or Miami. Some prefer a small college town but if I were loaded with NIL cash, then I’d probably not pick Lincoln or College Station.

And joining the SEC has finally unbound us. The media cannot avoid us anymore. Nor can we any longer be victimized by Big 12 officials.

It takes 3 years to rebuild a line. We finally have a coach who knows you need lots of big humans..without which only limited success is possible.
