TH has a Solution to our O-Line Issues

This from Wescott Eberts:

Herman projected the offensive line (from left to right) as Elijah Rodriguez, Patrick Vahe, Zach Shackelford, and Derek Kerstetter. Denzel Okafor could serve as a swing player (or displace Kerstetter), but the Texas head coach believes that mid-year junior college transfer Mikey Grandy will need to play right away.

I've read this multiple times, counted and recounted, and I come up with four starting O-lineman every time. So there's our answer, we are going to play with four lineman. I don't know much about football, but I can't help but be a little skeptical about the chance of this working. I guess we shall see, I'll try not to practice "contempt prior to investigation."

Please note: I am being heavily sarcastic here, so tear me a new one if you wish. Just having a little fun, I know it was an omission.

Merry Christmas to all! :bevo::hookem::bevo:

5 OL, unless you think the Center not as a lineman (which he really is) but more as a specialist, skill player, play caller for OL blocking.

Tell me about this TE position?
Again, I am anything but a subject matter expert when it comes to football, but I will do my best. Here goes.
Tight End - Usually a moderately large player in the 230-260 lb. range. Must possess a wide range of skills. Must be able to block linebackers and help with double teams on defensive ends. Must also have decent speed and the hands to catch passes. While this player description has been largely unknown at UT for the last several years, there are some noteworthy examples from years gone by. Some of the more recent notables would be: Bo Scaife, David Thomas and Jermichael Finley. Not a comprehensive list, but hopefully enough to convey a general idea.

Rumor has it we have a targeted a stud air blocker from the juco ranks.
Think Gary Johnson if GJ had no depth perception and two concrete feet. This guy dominates air.
