Texas vs. UTRGV

Everybody just standing around on Offense.
Do we work on Offense.
Texas has too much talent to look the way we look.
Bad.....
 
Shaka and Karen need to get together and hire a consultant to come up with an effective zone offense, because neither team can do **** against a zone.
 
It don't seem to be a good connection with the player's and the Coach to me. The player's play like they don't care.
What's going on at Texas.

She always have the same look.
Get some type of Swag Coach. It would rub off on your player's.

Both team's will beat them by 30 point's or more.

She was supposed to be good but I haven't seen her be the shooter she was expected to be. However, I will give her credit for the only player on the team with hustle and a brain. Or at least has been coached up. She's certainly the only one that knows how to get a rebound at her highest point, while the others are back on the ground when a shorter player jumps past them and gets the rebound.

Also, I've noticed Danni now is actually getting in position to get a loose ball when the other team knocks it away the passing is so bad. At least she knows where the ball is going and knows it's not going to end up in the hands of her own team. I have to wonder some times if she's thinking why did I decide to play with these idiots.
 
Wow, this game was really ugly. We still can't make layups. A win is a win, but the way we are winning makes me really worried for Big 12 play. I really hope this team can pull it together.
 
The question is can they shoot the ball well enough to do anything against the zone to begin with? The offense obviously needs to improve against the zone but if you can’t make perimeter jump shots it doesn’t matter what offense you run. As I continue to say, the situation with Coach Aston not playing Chaz for whatever reason is going to continue to haunt this team. She was the best shooter on the team.

I'm so over it... seeing such a mediocre Texas WBB product being put on the floor... that I forgot we were even playing last night. I've been following this program since 1980 when I was a kid. It's coaching, plain and simple... and it's outrageously unacceptable to waste so much talent while seeing others get more out of so much less talent.

I didn't see the game. Reading y'all's reports and looking at the box score, it looks pretty discouraging. I don't know why we can't shoot. Only Destiny's numbers (3 or 3) looked good. Williams must be in a true shooting slump. Did anyone look good? Joyner and Jatarie were both 50% from the field. Were they mostly under the basket shots, or were they taking some mid-range jumpers also?
 
JoeDallas for 1 thing we had the height advantage. And was still missing easy layups.
Joyner and White scored some point's on putback's.

Seems like Joyner and Jatarie we’re taking both mid-range and jumpers. Danni’s Long-range shot was off, but I felt like she was a bright spot during the game in that she was going after rebounds and hustling the ball up the floor, and creating her own shot off the bounce. Her play stood out to me.

If one just saw statistics you might not think the game was so bad. In retrospect I suppose it wasn’t, but just kept wanting Texas to put them away. Some glaring statistics at both ends of the spectrum:

 
I don't speak for Karen, but I've seen games like this before and her response afterwards. Let me "build a statement" I've heard her say before when we get torched by 3's. She would say something to the effect that we gave them the perimeter to secure the paint and that 3's are hits-and-misses and a matter of percentages. Blah, blah, blah and that they were just hot that night from the arc and we were not. Blah, blah and that the end score justifies their tactic.
