The midweek game finds the Horns on the road again, this time again the Bobcats of Texas State, in San Marcos.

After the sweep of KSU last weekend, Texas goes on a four game road trip starting with tonight and then heading to Lincoln, to face Nebraska for three games.

Left hander Josh Sawyer will get the start for the Longhorns on the mound and I also heard that now that freshman right hander Connor Mayes, will now be the closer. Still looking for someone to take that role and it seems he is the latest to get a look.

The only video is the streaming information I posted on the thread about Nebraska video and the audio is

Anybody got sound on this?

Shaw up lefty with one on.
Johnson goes as Shaw K's swinging for one away and he is in easily with a steal.

They must have sound for this don't they?

Let's start over as Johnson flew out to right.

A soft fly to center is an easy out for one away.

Skip comes out for a meeting after a 2-0 count, but leaves Sawyer out there.
Studdard back in and a sharp breaking curve bends in and it's a called strike three for two away. I need that emoticon or I am walking Dion. :)

A big curve and he can't check his swing and it's another K for one away.

A full count and a high fast ball is a walk.
This is what Johnston does, a K and then a walk.
He needs more control for more work.

Hoffman bats righty with one on and one down.
The runner goes and the pitch is dropped and it's a steal without a throw.
A comebacker to Kyle is a 1-3 second out.

Luke (don't call me) Sherley, had to do that once, bats righty with two gone and one on at second.
A bloop to center drops in and it's a rbi single.

The right handed hitting left fielder works the count full.
The runner will be moving and a fly ball to Shaw in right will retire the side.

The Bobcats plate another run and lead now 3-1 after four.

Parsons has given up some well hit balls, but not been hurt seriously so far.
He is back out for the fifth.

Cantu leads off righty for the Horns.
Another deep shot, this time to center and nobody is catching this one.
A long dinger for Cantu!

Texas State leads 3-2.

The count runs full and a sharp grounder to first is booted and Boswell reaches on the E-3.

Coach to the mound and the entire infield comes in for the meeting.

Pinch hitter from the left side is Colby Targun, and he will become the DH.
He swings through a fast ball for a K and that retires the side.

Texas State adds another and leads 4-2 as the Horns have played catch up all game.

Scheible, the Bobcat center fielder is his batter, from the right side.
A full count and a high fly to left off the end of the bat is two down.

He shoots a roller to Marlow and the 4-3 retires the side in order.

Six gone and Texas State leads 4-2.

Parsons still toils on for Texas State in the seventh.

Seems like he shouldn't be, but the Horns only have four hits off him.

Barrera leads off for Texas from the right side.
He swings 2-0 and it's a one hopper to third for one gone.

Marlow bats lefty with one down.
He swings and misses at high heat for out two.

Cantu, who homered his last at bat, is up righty with two gone.
Another full count and he swings and misses on a chest high fast ball to end the frame.

Texas has two homers, but only one other hit and while Texas State only has four hits, they lead 4-2. Stretch time in San Marcos.

McKenzie pitches the Texas State seventh.

Sherley leads off from the right side.
The third HBP and the second for Sherley puts the nine hole hitter on again and this is how you trail, while only giving up four hits.

Geisler bats righty with one on and brings back the top of the order.
He K's swinging and it's one down.

Vallieres bats righty with one on and one away.
A fly ball to left center and Gurwitz ranges over for the out and two down.

Paiz approaches the plate from the right side with one on and two gone.
A liner to right that one hops to Shaw is a single.

Skip comes out with a hook for McKenzie.

Pitching change.

The left hander Ty Culbreth, comes in to pitch for Texas with two on and two outs.

Studdard will face him and from the left side and it's probably imperative to keep the deficit at two runs here.

The Bobcat left fielder steps in and a fast ball on the outside corner rings him up on the called third out to retire the side.

It's getting late in San Marcos and Texas State leads 4-2 to the eighth.

Parsons is out and the new pitcher for the Bobcats is Cory Geisler, who was in right field. He is a left hander and looks to get a big save for Texas State.
