Game time is 6:30pm and video is up now though.

At minimum we need to win this series. To stay in the thick of the race we need a sweep. Tech is not very good, but strange things happen in Lubbock sometimes and there is always the weather, namely the wind.

Still they are like KSU with a little less pop at the plate. They are 2-7 in conference with a win against equally bad Kansas and almost as bad OU.

Baylor vs. Mizzou


Mizzou in it's continued tradition of the worst feed in the conference has decided not to even offer a webcam feed for this game. They are offering only audio and for a fee.
Of course when Mizzou has video it's only one camera behind the plate and behind the fence with poor quality.

So this is the Baylor audio which is free.
 
Both teams go in order in the first so no score after one.

I believe the game is televised tomorrow on FCS I heard anybody know?
 
Tech gets a walk for the first baserunner of the game, but that is all. No score after 2 complete.

Got to score on this pitching staff early and often.
 
Horns go 9 up and 9 down to start the game.

Thornhill gives up a one out double and Walsh runs head long into the fence and is down. Now he is up and staying in.
 
Another double off the left field wall scores a run and Tech leads 1-0 after three complete.

We kind of need a baserunner or two.
 
We are letting some guy with a bad record on a bad team pitch a pitch a perfect game after four half innings at the plate.

Tech leads still 1-0 after 3 1/2 innings.

With one out Texas finally breaks up the perfect game. Then Tech gives us the help we needed. Felts ground a dp ball to short and the 2nd baseman drops the throw.

Then another walk and a hit finally by Stell scores one and Etier walks to score another. Maitland then grouns a dp ball to short and this time he takes it himself and gets it.

So now to the bottom of another "Frank Erwin" fifth. Horns lead now 2-1.
 
And after two outs and nobody on the Horns give it all back and more. A triple and then an intentional walk, then goes 0-2 on the next guy. Then hangs a breaking pitch and and boom a homer to right.

Tech now leads 4-2 after 5 innings.
 
Payton walks and their pitcher is pulled with a one hitter. Wies grounds deep into the hole for an infeild hit. Shaw ph's for Walsh who must be still hurting and a sac moves the runners up.

Malow singles both runners home and Silver doubles Marlow home and now Texas leads again 5-4, pitching change.

This is more they type of game I expected. Got to keep adding on. This is with the wind blowing in too.
 
Stell doubles home another run, (this kid looks good) to make it now 6-4 horns. Etier walks, Stell is picked off 2nd but the third baseman drops the throw. Maitland strikes out to make not matter

To the bottom of the sixth Texas bats around and scores 4 runs and leads now 6-4.

Got to believe Milner is up and throwing. Shaw no in left field for Walsh.
 
Good innng for Thornhill as he retires the side in order. This sets up the bullpen well now. Still would be nice to add on and make it easy.

Horns lead 6-4 after 6 complete.
 
Payton drags a bunt for a single to lead off. Then Weis eschews the bunt and singles. Shaw schews the bunt, but can't get down and then singles to right. Bases loaded with no outs.

Marlow works a full count, but grounds into a dp as a run scores. Now 7-4 Texas, pitching change.

Silver flies to deep center, but the wind brings it back and that's the inning. Had a chance to break it wide open there, but didn't.

I guess we will try to squeeze one more inning at least out of Thornhill. Stretch time Horns lead now 7-4.
 
Milner gives up two singles, but gets out of it without any damage. After 7 complete it's still Texas leading 7-4.
 
Felts singles to center to lead off. Shaw tries to bunt and pulls the bat back and gets hit in the hand. Tech coach, Spencer argues the call and is tossed by the home plate ump.
Our left fielders are getting beat up.

Now Felts gets picked off second, seems we have bad base running every game. Etier K's and a comebacker from Maitland ends another promising inning for Texas

To the bottom of the 8th Texas leads 7-4.

Baylor wins 3-1 over Missouri to go 10-0 in conference.
OU and Aggy tied at 3 in the ninth.
 
Knebel comes in to start the 8th and retires the side in order.

Horns lead 7-4 after 8 complete. Knebel in line for the save now.
 
Thanks for the updates. Boy, sure hate to have to go to Knebel to start the 8th. Seems like Augie is having to do that a lot lately. Sure could use a consistently solid set-up guy besides Milner; but, you do what you have to do to get the "W".

C'mon 'Horns. Get some insurance runs and then set Tech down in order.

Payton bunts for another infield single, then Weis pops up.
Shaw lines one just over the 2nd baseman, but Payton thinks it is going to be caught and slides back into first and is forced at second. Shaw steals 2nd as the shortstop drops the throw on the tag. Then on a walk Stell is thrown out trying to move up as the pitch got away.

To the bottom of the ninth Texas leads 7-4.
OU and Aggy in extras tied at 3.
 
Knebel gives up a single and nothing more and gets the save as Texas wins 7-4!

We hold serve with Baylor and go 6-1 in the conference.
 
OU and Aggy still tied at 3 in the 11th.
#1 Florida loses again this time at home to LSU 7-6.

Tough break for Walsh, looks like Stell will be in the lineup now as either the DH or in the outfield.
 
Is there any doubt that we are going to win another Big XII regular season title? Baylor and A&M will succumb (AGAIN) to our greatness.
 
OU and Aggy still tied at 3 in the 12th.
There was no video feed tonight because Cox Cable televised the game. There will be video for tomorrow.
 
Aggy gets a SF to win 4-3 in the 12th.
Golloway is arguing the call to no avail.
So the top three teams in the conference all win and keep seperating themselves from the rest of the field.
