Not necessarily. For the life of me, I don't get why people here are happy to settle for mediocrity. This is a flat-out embarrassment. Coach G has been at UT for 5 YEARS, plenty of time to right the ship and things are worse than they've ever been. Since she got here, two conference rivals have won national titles. What has UT won? Not a thing. Changes are needed, more sooner than later.
I'm more disappointed by the absolute inability to find their poise than by the loss. I hope they "live to fight another day" bloodied and battered as they are. Maybe the "other" team will show up if there are any more games this post season
I'm troubled by GG's quote of " The fact that we were able to beat A&M twice shows a consistently excellent team." If she thinks that highly of her team's season performance, that's part of the problem.
It shows a team that was excellent on two specific days during the season, I'll grant her that. And those were a very fun pair of days that helped us kick A&M out with an 0-5 record against us in football and basketball. But you just can't lose by 20 to a mediocre team with an NCAA Tourney berth on the line and use the word excellence.
