Texas vs. Pan American Video Link

Yeah, what looked like a routine midweek win, now becomes a struggle. The bats need to keep scoring some runs to prevent that. It's 5-4 Pan Am in the top of the 4th, Milner in to pitch like every game it seems. Hope he really does have a rubber arm
 
Etier hits into a double play with the bases loaded to score a run and Texas regains the lead 6-5 after 6 complete.

Look for the usualy suspects out of the pen now unless they just let Milner just keep pitching. Maybe Curtis an inning and then Knebel.
 
Milner shuts out Pan Am for four innings. I dub thee "Milner the Energizer Pitcher" he just keeps pitching and pitching.

Got to believe he is done and Curtis will pitch the 8th and Knebel the 9th. Still 6-5 Texas stretch time.
 
Red hot Walsh hits an absolute bomb over the 405 sign in right center. Horns up now 9-5 as the rain falls in Austin. Since he is already warming up I guess Knebel will come in to finish. Kind of wish he wouldn't with this big a lead, but since he is already up in the pen I guess it doesn't matter. No save situation now though.
 
Glad to see Walsh hitting the ball the way I thought he would when I saw him in fall ball his freshman year.

he also had a 2 run triple tonight according to gametracker ( i wasn't watching then)
 
Milner comes back out, so we save Knebel and just keep pitching Milner, why not give Curtis an inning?
 
Milner finishes the game giving up a single in the 9th, but nothing more and Texas wins 9-5.

Milner throws 103 pitches in relief in 6 complete innings of work. That's a bit of a head scratcher with Curtis up and ready. I was just kidding about unless they just let Milner keep pitching and pitching.
 
Got some Mack Brown Game Plan and the Texas Relays coming up on LHN. I hope the feed lasts for awhile.
