We face Nebraska today for the chance to move on to the Final Four. This will be a tough one since we are playing in their backyard with a lot of angry Nebraska fans.

I think our ladies will be up to the challenge, but they will have to play flawless volleyball against a school that has dominated volleyball for a long time.

NU swept ISU in dominant fashion and they will have a lot of motivation on their side.

Here's to TEXAS beating NEBRASKA once again on their home turf!!!!!

The Horns have the best volleyball squad in the country. That doesn't mean they are going to win tonight, but they should. They are superior to the Huskers in all areas this season and they need to play like it. Let's take care of business and win a national title...just three more matches and we're there!
 
How in the world did we get put in that regional bracket essentially having to play a road game? That said, I know the Horns can get it done, again!

The NCAA hasn't done our volleyball teams any favors as far as the playoffs go. I don't expect everything to go as we like in that regard all the time but we were do and this is ridiculous. We are No. 2 in the Country and have to play a great team like Nebraska on its' own court and not even a neutral court. At least we get into the playoffs unlike our football team. GO HORNS! OVERCOME THIS! FIGHT AND WIN!

I believe this is actually round 3.

As far as Omaha goes....it don't make a ****. We're gonna kick their ***, along with anyone else who stands in our way.

By the way...I meant round 2 as in Football then Volleyball.

It is a good thing we beat NU 3 times this year. Let's start cutting into the all time wins record!!!

Lose first set, take next three. On to the final four! Next victim: #11 Minnesota. #1 Penn State will get winner of #12 Hawaii vs. #13 Michigan. Looks like a perfect setup for a clash of the titans.

Anyone know if the final four will be on TV? Seems like it should be...
 
I admit to early frustration, especially after the disappointment of the Heisman presentation. So I went to the DVR and watched a documentary on the Ramones I recorded several weeks ago and had not watched.

It was excellent. I miss Joey.

But I was very, very glad to cone to HF to find that the Longhorns won the match!

i am so glad i got up at 3am to follow live stats for this match, though i agree with texanne....it was a little nerve-wracking early on. after losing set 1 and tied at 12 in set 2 i was expecting a long night, but the horns finally pulled away. great job and just two matches to go!!!

This team has been so clutch all year. 2 wins from glory but Penn State ran their win streak to 100 yesterday and will be a monumental task.
 
I watched the game last night. The ladies did a great job, especially given that it was a virtual home game for NU. NU came out on fire in the first set, but our girls settled down in the second set and took care of business from there on!
 
Typical homer coverage in today's Omaha Weird Herald. The Link Couldn't POSSIBLY say something nice like "Horns Win" or the like. Had to get cute like Steve Pivovar did when our boys won the CWS back in 2005 "Men of Steer".

Go Horns. Beat the HELL outta whoever's next!

Guess we need MD to make some University of Texas at Omaha T-shirts for the Volleyball team so we can wear them in Omaha in June. That will really chap their butts.
 
Great job ladies.

And I know some people were bitching because Texas got shipped to Omaha to play Nebraska in what is essentially a home game for UNL.

Well, the #3 "national seed" Florida State lost to the #11 seed Minnesota 3-1. Guess where that Regional was held? Minneapolis.
 
I have no problem with the headline in the Weird Herold story, and I especially have no problem with the story itself. It was extremely complimentary about the Lady Horns and their phenomenal win.

Way to go, ladies, and keep it up!

I didn't think it was fair for us having to play Nebraska in that hostile environment but now that it is over and the ladies are advancing I think it is an advantage now. Way to go Ladies.
