Too many 4-minute stretches without buckets, kind of like last year. Looks like anyone can explode for big plays at any moment, but Barnes needs to work on consistency and ball security.

Mercer certainly isn't a pushover. There may be hope after all.

Just about every game is going to be a dog fight for this team, so we will see many games like this. C Ridley looked really great in the 2nd half (I missed the first half but the commentators kept saying he did not look so great 1st half). The guys certainly appear to work hard, even if the talent and skill may not all be there. Still not sure why Damarcus Holland thinks he is an offensive player and why he is taking the final shot when we need a bucket to make it a 2 possession game.

Should be an interesting year.

Most impressed with Isaiah Taylor. He has a chance to be very good.

Taylor really looked good. I was impressed with how well the team played together.

Any one know why Croaker only played three minutes? I missed something there.

Good question about Croaker; followed a bit online but couldn't see the game. Definitely a good stat line, 2-2 and both 3-pointers in only 3 mins of play. Looks like everyone else who saw action was in the game for at least 12 mins. Maybe Barnes saw something he didn't like; hopefully not an injury issue.

It's nice to get an opening day victory!

Mercer has four returning starters from a team that won the league championship last year, but ESPN has them in the middle of the pack this year with weak expectations. We'll see how this plays out.
