Is anyone else up late listening to the game? Did Cokie make the trip?

Interesting tweet from the Longhorn Network:

6-foot-4 Texas volleyball freshman Sara Hattis is flying to San Diego tomorrow to join the women's HOOPS team. #TwoSportStud

I don't know if Cokie made the trip, but Craig Way mentioned in pregame that she wouldn't be playing tonight but they hoped to have her back Sunday. I'd say since the 6'4" VB player is flying out to SD, they really don't expect Cokie to play.

41-21 Iowa at the half.

I'll say it again, we have NO shooters. I am not liking this at all.

Down 20 at the half to an unranked Iowa team. Shooting a sparkling 30% with 14 turnovers. Iowa is mostly playing zone. Sound familiar. Can't coach offense. Can't score points. Hoping for a better second half.

You know, we had trouble scoring with Conradt as coach. We had trouble scoring with Goestenkors as coach. We have trouble scoring with Aston as coach. Hmmmmmm, see a pattern here?

Now Nneka is out. This TX wbb program is snake bitten. Since...when? 2006??

Seeing the pattern is easy. Explaining it escapes me. We haven't put together a full 40 mins in a long, long time. Digging first half holes seems to be our best skill this season.

Unfortunately, tree fan may be correct. However, the season is not over yet. Who knows how the team will respond. The addition of 6'4" Sara Hattis from the VB team may give them a spark. It will certainly help fill the void left by Nneka and Cokie. Chas had a horrid shooting night, and that won't happen every night. Lots of hoops to be played!

I think she was hurt in the game last night. There is a post in this thread that said Nneka was out. I'm just thinking that Cokie's return may be iffy, depending on what her illness is and who knows if she will be full speed the rest of the season. Even if she's back tomorrow, her minutes will be very limited due to being out for so long. She's only played about 10 minutes since she was hurt in the game before the UCLA game on Dec. 8th.

I've heard Nneka should be fine to play and Cokie will hopefully be back soon. I haven't seen anything officially, but crossing my fingers that it's correct.

Thanks horns geek, I was just going by the post above re: Nneka. I sure hope Cokie comes back soon, but she hasn't played any significant minutes since early Dec. so whenever she comes back, it's bound to take her awhile to get into game shape and find her rhythm.

Hattis would take the available 'ship in hoops for this season. But, next season was supposed to be full at 15 with the 4 new 2012 signees (and Cokie and possibly Kayla moving on). So, that would mean one more hoops departure from the current roster; sure would like an update on Ronisah and Gigi.
