BYU had a 1pt lead when their kid hit that prayer with less than 1 min left in the game as the shot clock was winding down, I knew we were going to lose.

We have to hit our FTs and we have to cover the 3. I like Barnes, I really do but how many times have those 2 things bit us in the ***?

I agree this team will be fun to watch the rest of the year.

Well Haws didn't score 50, but he did come alive in the second half for 23 of his 25 points to win the game for BYU.

That was him with the one handed shot to beat the shot clock that was the key play.

Guards shot 30.6 percent. That's all she wrote. People get all over Kobe for shooting 35 percent when he takes 40 shots and leads the Lakers with 30-ish points. I wish we had that luxury.

I understand that Barnes tries to recruit a certain type of player to play the guard position. Selfless, defensive-minded, etc. But for the life of me, I can't remember a team that shot this poorly. Like, ever. Well, except for last year's squad, but I'm calling this more of a continuation of last year.

BYU didn't even need to take advantage of our weak perimeter defense. I'll give our frontcourt credit because they played well, but not well enough to stop the drives and stuff.

There have been signs that this will be a significantly better shooting team than in the past. They didn't shoot well against BYU and that needs to improve, but he's got more quality shooters on the team now than he has in a while.

Granted last year's team set the bar pretty low...

I like this young team. They give more effort and fight, then any team Barnes has had in 3 year's.
