Texas vs Baylor - Game 2

We had two on base in an early inning but couldn't get any runs. At top of 7th Baylor gets three runs and leads 3 - 0. It could have been worse but 3 runs may be enough of them to win this game. Go Horns!

Baylor gets a home run in top of the ninth and now leads 4 - 0. We have actually out hit them but not at the right time. Also we have had at least two outs on fielder's choice with a man at first base. Those kind of hits do you no good at all. You still have a runner on first base but with one less out.

Bottom 9th and our last chance. If GameTracker is right it is strange we are losing this game this way having more hits.

Baylor wins 4-0 and cinches the series.

The year started bad (Shepard and Walla) and never recovered. This one just
has to go down as "one of those" and we can look forward to next year. Hook Em!!

I have been around a very long time and this has been the most pitiful *** UT athletic school year I can ever remember. We usually could always depend on baseball to be a bright spot in years when we suffered but not this suckie year. At the very least, Augie needs to retire and other changes may be needed very soon.

I totally agree with you Danno on the season not being all Augie's fault. But maybe it is time for Augie to enjoy retirement and get some new blood infused just like we got with the Women's basketball program after Gail left.
