Texas Volleyball Recruiting Class Ranked #5!

This is great news! It was reported by Moooooo first but he accidently posted it to another thread so I give credit to Moooooo for pointing it out to my attention. These are three great recruits including the top ranked one. It isn't as high in the past but this year we didn't have as many scholarships to offer. Overall I am pleased with this class and look for great things.

Thanks for the news, Bill, and also for the scholly explanation. I was wondering why the thread title sounded sounded so upbeat; we've been spoiled by a string of much higher rankings.

Help me understand. We land the #1 and #5 recruits in the nation and we are ranked 5th. Interesting math prepvolleyball, interesting.

I agree Driftwood but this is one year that we didn't have as many scholarships available. I think they are looking more at quality than quantity this year but I don't subscribe to them so I don't know but I imagine that is the case.

This Team is fun to watch. Coach got past the Elite 8 Roadblock last year and now he can push 'em past the Final 4 stop they ran into last season.

#2 class back2back2back followed by a #5. That's some dang good recruitin'.

I really think last year getting over the psychological hurdle of the Elite 8 and getting to the Final Four was critical. next year will be a fantastic year.

09 season will be the best shot at a NC in volleyball in many years. This team has depth, size, experience and lots of athletic ability. Highly recommend people go check out the team play. Season tickets for $100 are a steal. They will also play the Italian National team twice on 9/11 and 9/12.
