Starting this thread early. Reading the board today gives me a headache. While most of the points being made are valid, I can't bring myself to quit on this team.

Just put some beer on ice ... gonna go for a run ... then I'm gonna watch us salvage game #3 of the series.

See ya'll at 1 pm.

BH, you're right. This board is falling apart over a couple very ugly losses. I don't like it either, but I've seen this board collapse before.

If we get swept by Mizzou, it will be unfortunate but I'm not giving up on the season. I'm sitting here typing and trying to recall ever getting swept by a team in the B12 race during the season and having any success post-season.

Let's get our boys back where it's warm where Baseball is supposed to be played, get some things ironed out, and finish strong.

We actually got swept by Baylor in 2005. Even lost to them in the BigXII tournament before beating them twice at the College World Series. ;-) Not that I'm expecting this group to turn it around to that level, just responding to your post........

Mar 18, 2005 Final Baylor 2 - 3 L
Mar 19, 2005 Final @Baylor 1 - 9 L
Mar 20, 2005 Final @Baylor 3 - 4 L
May 28, 2005 Fina vs Baylor 8 - 9 L Big XII Tournament
Jun 18, 2005 Final vs Baylor 5 - 1 W CWS
Jun 22, 2005Final vs Baylor 4 - 3 W CWS

Sorry, Barton, I guess you beat my response.

Horns need a win today to stop the bleeding, re-gain a little confidence and get back home for some serious re-focusness. Augie still has time to turn this thing around but it needs to happen fast.

I am listening/watching but have to also clean house so I will be back and forth.

Haha Priday struck out

Looks like a good start for you guys.

If you guys want, I'll post NU/OSU updates throughout the afternoon.

Very Well. Right now, we trail 2-1 in the third, looking to avoid a Stillwater sweep.

Well, it would only be fair if Texas run-ruled Mizzou in the last game considering the beatings by Mizzou the first two games.

2-1, OSU in the 3rd, but NU has 2 on and 2 out. Duncanville product Mitch Abeita at the plate.

Huskers have loaded the bases in the third, 2 out, Nick Sullivan at the plate....

Wide throw gets the Huskers a run - without the benefit of a hit.

Now a hit batter. 2 runs without the benefit of a hit, and Frank Anderson's coming out to get his starter.

3-2 Huskers, top 3rd.

and it's another OSU walk, and another run. 3 without the benefit of a hit.

4-2.
