Horns offense picked and picked scoring one run in five different inings. The lack of any big inning though was hidden by an amazing pitching performance by a combination of six pitchers, Stafford, Carrillo, Milner, Green, Jungmann and Knebel combine for the shutout.

Horns come all way back to win the regional out of the losers bracket.

Six #1 seeds lost early and fell into the losers bracket. Only one was able to climb out of their hole to win their regional. It wont mean much next week. Well I guess it does, we'll be playing and they wont

I didn't have much faith Sat night. Didn't think that we would win 3 straight to win the Regional. I am very proud of the Horns today. As Bill would want us to do, let's just take it game by game.

curious if anyone saw the post game... mainly how the opposing coach summarized the game, did anyone see that portion?

The opposing coach was very complimentary of the Texas pitching staff. He further said that his team was devastated after going up 2-0 and thought they had a good chance to advance.

"Texas threw everything at us...including the kitchen sink. And we knew they would do that...but we couldn't take advantage of any breaks."

Something like that. That's all I heard b/c I needed to get back to work.

Stricklin was also complimentary of Texas baseball fans. He said they were smart, knew their players, and knew the game well.

Stricklin graduated magna cum laude from Kent State in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. Smart guy who should know how to keep himself in check and not get thrown out of a regional game.
