Doesn't look that bad. Vic's talk must have lit some kind of fire. 39-18 at the half; UCF also has twice as many turnovers and fouls. That's some pretty damn good defense. I don't know what Texas is running though because I'm just looking at the statcast. The only negative is Taylor got herself in foul trouble, but Aliyah is playing so it shouldn't be too big of an issue.

Texas held UCF to 4 points in the second, then UCF exploded for 25 in the third. Go figure! Too many quick Texas fouls put UCF on the foul line way too early.

When Vic pulled Shaylee out near the end to give Codio playing time in front of her family, he shook her hand and kept her next to him for a while while he was telling her how happy he was with her play. Shaylee had a wide smile while he was praising her.

Vic said what I've been saying, the guard play is going to determine our season. Yesterday they were locked in and you see the result. When they play with that type of focus and toughness, we are a tough out for most anybody. We need that consistently.
