Texas Tech @ Iowa State

Pretty good game of football here; ISU's always dangerous under Campbell and Tech actually has a defense this year. Raiders went up 10-0 early thanks to a blocked punt. It's 10-7 now in the middle of the 2nd and the Cyclones are on the move.

Tech is proving why they are among the leaders in penalty yards. State has made mistakes. Second half should be good.

I’m nervous about playing both of these teams. I’m glad we have ISU at home, but man, strange things happen in Lubbock.

Strongly agree, positively-absolutely. And I’m nervous about *every* game from here on out (with the exception of KU ... no, wait, scratch that). As the author Tom Wolfe once wrote, it can blow at any seam, just like that.

Lubbock is a strange thing that happened in Lubbock.
I was at a meeting 2 nights ago where the consulting engineer was a Tech grad. He was going on about what a terrible place Ames IA is. Professional that I am, I kept a straight face and refrained from playing the pot-meet-kettle card.

31-31 with nine to go in the game...and 21 of those points have been defense/special teams. Blocked punt and fumble recovery by Tceh and a pick-six by the ISU defense.

People who didn't watch are just going to see the box score and think it's a stereotypical Tech game with each team scoring on the majority of possessions.

Pretty sure the coach instructed a fair catch. Why not get the ball at the 25? Takes away the chance of a fumble or stupid penalty.

Gotta say that Ahmad Brooks made me crazy watching this game. I almost turned the sound off. He basically couldn’t stop talking, and most of his observations were like Captain Obvious.
