Texas Tech 2002

Yesterday was so reminiscent of Texas Tech 2002 it was scary, from the multiple defensive injuries that forced true freshman and backups to play at critical times, to the offense scoring and scoring but missing just a couple of opportunities to a late drive by the other team that scored the winning points in a shootout. That loss in Lubbock kept Texas from a BCS bowl but it laid the foundation for '04 and '05. Those freshman in Lubbock had to grow up and the freshman yesterday will too. This team can still win 9-10 games and lay a foundation just like that 2002 team.

I’m with the optimists like you FWHorn. You raise a good point. I think we are on the upswing but we need to win out against lesser opponents from here on out to keep the recruiting pipeline going.
