...both caught sleeping!!!!

Auburn beat both men and women!

Hopefully Texas was trying out different people and don't care so much about the win right now.

I was mostly shocked at the womens score.

Hopefully we do better against Georgia.

I have to preface what I say in that I know next to nothing about swimming. I read an article on ESPN about Coach Reese.

These dual meets, Coach Reese does not even know his record. The article then points out how his teams have lost these meets only to go on and win or be very competive in the National Championship meet.

I would think nothing to worry about here, please correct me and educate me on the swim season. Thanks.

I am not sure either. Texas men has lost to Arizona or Stanford and then goes on to win the NC, so I don't know.

I just hate the women to lose because Kim has done a great job in getting Texas back in NC contention. I wish Kathleen Hersey hadn't quit the team. That's probably going to keep Texas from winning the NC in this year or next. Bummer!!

Dual meets are notoriously bad indicators of how a team is going to perform at the NCAA Champioships. That said the Horn men and women have had some good wins this season, as well as some disappointing losses. But it's all about getting better and working towards the end of the season. It's certainly nice to see the women moving full steam ahead in spite of Hersey turning pro in preparation for the 2012 Olympics. I don't know much about it (perhaps someone can offer more insight) but apparently there is a new rule that offers additional income, or stipends, to top swimmers in exchange for personal appearances. That's what I read online anyway.

You never can tell. I remember our women's track team came in second place in the Big 12 Championship behind Nebraska yet went on the win the NC. I will take an NC any day over a Big 12 Championship and even a State Farm Lone Star Showdown point.
