Texas Super Regional History

Since the Super Regional format, the Horns have played in six super regionals and are 6-0.

Four in Austin, two on the road (FSU and Ole Miss).

Three were won 2-0 (Penn State '00, FSU '03, Vanderbilt '04); and

Three were won 2-1 (UH '02, Ole Miss '05, TCU '09)

The Horns are 4-2 in game one (losses to UH and Ole Miss); 5-1 in game two (TCU) and 3-0 in game three.

Looking for lucky number seven this weekend.

Keeping that streak alive is not going to be easy. TCU is without a doubt the most dangerous team that didn't get a National seed. Personally, I would much rather play Georgia Tech, Louisville and maybe even Coastal Carolina than the Horned Frogs. They gave us plenty last year and return a better team this year. I was hoping the committee would not put us in each other's path again this year as we're both Omaha-worthy, but unfortunately geography is more important that "seeding" the tournament.

If you can't tell, this team (TCU) concerns the crap out of me.
