The next batter is hit on the shoulder to put a man on.

Now a walk puts two on.

A single into the hole on the left side scores a run to make it 1-0.

A liner right back to Urban is gloved for the third out.

He threw 25 pitches that inning and probably won't be going more than three or four innings tonight.

Texas State leads 1-0 as Texas comes to bat.

After Johnson is retired and Hall lines out.

Weis walks.

Payton doubles him home to tie the game at 1.

Hinojosas lines a single to right to score Payton.

Next man chops one deep in the hole and there is no play and it's an infield hit to put two on.

Hard liner is short hopped to Weis and he steps on third and completes the 5U-3 double play to end the inning and snuff out the fire.

To the bottom of two Texas leads 2-1.

Urban back out again gives up a lead off single to right.
He doesn't to have his good stuff or command tonight.

Runner steals second.

Next hitter walks to put two on.

Wild pitch moves the runners to second and third.

Ground ball out to short scores a run as the other runner holds at second to make it 4-2.

Fly ball to right is out two as the runner holds.

That's all for Urban and Duke is the new pitcher.

Duke K's his first hitter looking to end the inning.

Texas leads 4-2 now to the bottom of three.

Welcome back FW, I knew you couldn't stay away.

Payton leads off and bunts down the third base line and beats it out for a hit.

Hinojosas with a man on with the sac bunt moves over to second.

Gottsacker grounds out to short as Payton moves to third with two down.

Montalbano walks on four pitches to put runners on the corners.

Ty Marlow back up after his homer in his first at bat and he singles through the hole on the right side to score Payton and make it 5-2.

B. Marlow K's swinging to end the inning.

Texas leads 5-2 after three innings.

Duke back out and he hits the lead off man and that makes three batters hit by Texas pitching now.

Next batter lines a foul off the leg of the first base coach, that had to hurt, though he is acting like it didn't.

He pops up straight over the mound and finally Ty Marlow takes charge and makes the play for out one.

Next man with a grounder up the middle that Hinojosa fields and steps on second and complets a 6U-3 double
play that ends the inning.

Texas leads 5-2 to the bottom of the fourth.

So far so good for a Tuesday night game, wish we had just a couple of these runs this past weekend. I am still a bit in shock over losing that OU series the way Texas did.

Texas State with a new pitcher a big righty faces Johnson and he K's swinging for out one.

Hall singles again to center for his second hit that puts him on first with one away.

Weis grounds to second and he boots it for an error to put two on.

Payton with his third hit a single to right scores Hall and Weis moves all the way to third to make it 6-2.

Hinojosa singles to left to make it 7-2 as Weis scores.

Runners on first and second with one away.

Gottsacker up as the pitching coach comes out.

Pitcher stays in, Gottsackers walks to load the bases.

Montalbano singles through the hole on the left side and it scores two moire runs. Texas now leads 9-2.

I guess there are still some streaks left as this would be like 17 wins in a row against Texas State.

Ty Marlow up and he K's swinging for out two.

B. Marlow grounds out to second to finally end the inning.

Texas bats around and now leads 9-2 after four innings.

Duke comes out to the hill again in the fifth and a ground ball behind the bag at third backhands and the long throw is a nice play for out one.

The next batter is the fourth HBP of the night for Texas pitching to put a man on.

A passed ball off the mitt of Montalbano moves him to second.

A liner down the line in right is a double that scores the run to make it 9-3.

Here comes Skip and he decides to leave Duke in.

A line drive to B. Marlow at second and he takes it to the bag for 4U double play the third of the night that ends the inning.

To bottom of the fifth now Texas leads 9-3.

Texas State with another pitcher in another righty to face Johnson and he flies out to left for out one.

Hall lines a single to center for the third time tonight to put a man on.

Weis flies out to center for the second out.

Payton up and Hall steals second on the first pitch.

Payton walks to keep his perfect night going and puts two on with two outs.

Hinojosa lines one to left for a single and a run scores to make it 10-3 and Hinojosa moves up to second on the throw to the plate.

Runners on second and third with two down.

Gottsacker up and he K's swinging to end the rally.

Texas leads 10-3 after five complete.

Duke still on the mound and a ground ball up the middle is snagged by B. Marlow and his low throw is not dug out by Ty Marlow so it is an error on B. Marlow.

That was confusing to type.

Man on first with no outs.

Comebacker to Duke is a 1-4-3 double play the fourth of the night recorded by Texas for two away.

Slow hit ball to B. Marlow and the batter beats the throw and it's ruled an infield hit.

A fly ball to shallow center is out three.

To the bottom of the sixth and it's 10-3 Texas.

Texas State with yet another pitcher and yet another right hander to face Montalbano and he K's swinging for out one.

Ty Marlow K's swinging also for out two.

B. Marlow grounds a ball down the third base line and the third baseman dives and backhands it and throws out Marlow to retire the side in order for the first time and the first inning that Texas fails to score in.

To the top of seven now Texas leads 10-3

Hollingsworth in to pitch now.

Hollingsworth K's the first man he faces swinging as the ball gets away and Montalbano retrieves and barely nips the batter at first on the throw for a 2-3 put out.

Next man is walked on four pitches to put a man on.

Duke is most likely in line for the win, but the college rules are strange in this respect as the official scorer has the call.

Next hitter lines to B. Marlow and his throw back to big brother is a 4U-3 double play as the runner is hung out to dry. That's the fifth double play of the night for Texas.

Texas leads 10-3 into the stretch.

And another pitcter is in for Texas State and finally it's a southpaw to face Johnson leading off.

He grounds out to third for out one.

Hall flies out to left for two away.

Weis trying to get his first hit of the night, but he doesn't as he grounds out to second to end the inning.

Texas in the lead 10-3 to the eighth.

Hollingsworth still pitching and Felts comes in to catch.

The first man one hops a drive to right off the wall down the line and it's a triple.

A fly ball to shallow left is out one as the runner holds.

A ground ball to third gets by Weis is ruled a hit. to score the run and make it 10-4.

A pop up to Weis is out two.

A ground ball to second is the inning ender.

to the bottom of the eighth Texas now leads 10-4.

Another Texas State pitcher which is the closer in to get some work I would think faces Payton as he leads off the eighth trying to keep his perfect night alive.

And he does with yet another hit a single to right to reach yet again.

Hinojosa up and he has a perfect night too with a sac bunt included. He grounds to short into a 6-4 FC for out one.

Gottsacker walks to put two on now at first and second.

Felts up for first time lines a hit to left that scores Hinojosa and that makes it 11-4.

By the way that confusing play with the Marlow brothers back in the sixt has now been ruled an error.

Ty Marlow grounds into a 4-6 FC out two ast Gottsacker scores to make it 12-4.

Ty Marlow now gets his first hit, a single to right and that puts Marlows on the corners. This is going to be confusing if this line up stays intact for awile.

Johnson is hit by a pitch to load the bases.

Hall grounds back up the middle off the pitchers glove to the second baseman who gets the force at second to end the inning so it goes 1-4U for the out.

To the ninth now and its Texas leading 12-4.

Hollingsworth still out there for the ninth and he gets the lead off hitter on a ground ball to third.

Next man lines out to Weis who leaps to make a nice catch for out two.

Last hope for Texas State is hit by a pitch for the fifth time for a HBP by Texas pitching.

A liner to left is misjudged and goes over Gottsackers head and it's a triple that scores the run and makes it
12-5.

A ground ball to short ends the game and Texas wins
12-5.

Sort of a sloppy game, but it's good to gets some hits and score some runs and of course win.

Heading to Lawrence this weekend and need a series win minimum and really a sweep to get back into things.

Winning on the road is still a tough thing though. Just have to do it if this team is to turn this season around.
