Texas SB explodes for 5 runs in top of 10th!

Texas played their Big 12 opener at Columbia, Mo today and went 9 innings tied at one all. In the top of the tenth, they lit up the scoreboard by pushing 5 runs across the plate helped by a Courtney Craig home run.

Earlier in the game, "power hitter" Crystal Saenz hit a solo homer to tie the game at one all. Way to go Crystal and Courtney! Brittany Barnhill pitched a great ten inning game, striking out 9. It's great to see her pitching so well and to see her get some run support!

Nice to see them pull it out. Was not looking promising for a while there, quite a few hits given up. Do it again tomorrow, now!

Down 6-1 in the top of the second this afternoon. BB faced the first seven batters and allowed the 6 runs on 4 hits. Dez came in to close out the inning. Hope those bats come alive again to pull this one out.

Texas came back with 4 runs in the 2nd to make it 6-5 Mizzou. But Mizzou scored 3 more in the second, and one each in the 3rd and 4th, while holding Texas scoreless.

Dez out in the 4th and Erin in to pitch. A slugfest going on, for sure!

Final 11-6 Mizzou. Mizzou with 12 hits, Texas 9 hits. Texas pitchers getting 3 K's, Mizzou's pitchers just 2 K's.
