Potassium chloride on the roadways/bridges.

Marvelous. Standby for your vehicle values to plummet to that of Michiganers and Wisconsinites.

Personal experience with a 7 year old F350 from Wisconsin. Loved that truck, but it literally rusted out from under me at only 15 years old.

I thought it was a problem with NaCl for the rusting, not KCl. And, FWIW, many places are using CaCl, not KCl and definitely not NaCl.

Further, a few days of use is NOT going to create the problems seen in the north even if what is being used WAS corrosive...

Nope ... it's the chloride which is the "enemy."

The answer is ... stop operating on ice rinks ... it'll be gone in just about as much time as it takes to get the roadways covered with this corrosive anyway.

It only takes one application to begin the reaction ... it can only be stopped with phosphoric acid ... and who can get that in contact with all surfaces on an assembled vehicle???

Nope ... we just took a turn for the worst. Another in the laundry list of items where Texas has been diluted. Infiltrated, you might say.
