I know you are eating this up!
Because you really did try to tell us months ago.
But I was really trying to be positive for GG.
It just didnt work at Texas for her.
I feel sorry for the fans and the players though!
Its just not what we are use too seeing.

I think she is gone, but recent speculation by the AAS makes me worry. I will not feel sorry for us, unless we sign on for another year of this. If we do that, then we get what we deserve.

Reassign GG the front office, make a good hire, expect good basketball in 2-3 years.

Nothing wrong with being positive. I learned to manage my disappointments. I'd rather be SURPRISED than disappointed and certainly the last 4+ years of Texas basketball under Goestenkors has been nothing but a FLOP.

AAS speculating? I'm sure they are not the only ones. If Goestenkors had any pride in herself and salvage her already fading star, she would do the right thing by moving on. That million dollar salary meant she didn't have to perform and she is certainly getting the last LAUGH at our expense (fans, University and especially the players).

GG would be stupid to resign with $2 million left hanging on the tree. Plonsky is in a very difficult position. Reassigning GG to the office would be an embarrassment for her, she would surely resign then. It's frustrating to think Texas fans may have to stomach another 2-4 years of miserable women's hoops. Seeing the FEC with 200 people at games is EXTREMELY sad looking back at the days when the drum was near capacity even for teams like SMU.

Well aware of that BBV was following up on previous comments by LakeErie. What I'm also well aware of is that this move has been pretty much a total disaster from a win/loss/post season to investment perspective. The return on that $1M annual investment is null and we can't even write off the loss.

Im perfectly cool with paying GG 2 million and seeing her gone. She is a good lady, love her on LHN, but we are Texas (ie we can afford it) and it is time to start planning for the future.

Lack of wins, conf titles and lack of fans in the stands erodes everything JC did for the program.

GG dimmed her career prospects here at Tx; she deserves the money. But she also deserves the door.

That's nice... win at Missouri and vs Texas A&M and then the odds look good. Great. If not, tough luck.

If Texas gets in, will we see this program advance past the 1st round, or will we continue the tradition of early exits? But let's not get ahead... first MIssouri.

If this placement would occur it would present Texas with an absolute gift. Hampton as the #14 seed is closest. Georgetown only scored 32 points in their conference tourney loss and the top seed in the draw is a team that has played exactly 2 Top 25 teams going 1-1. Yes they have Delle Donne but that is a a very favorable draw for an 11 seed. Please let's not **** the sheets against Tech and play Baylor competitively at least.

This would be the most favorable draw that we could possibly ask for in the given circumstances. Unfortunately, Creme isnt very accurate when comparing his brackets to the actual.

Creme updates:

• Texas lost to Texas Tech, but stays in the field as the last team in, maintaining a slightly better overall profile than other bubble teams.

• Which teams could bump the Longhorns? With runs in their respective conference tournaments, Southern California (Pac-12), Kansas (Big 12) or James Madison (Colonial) are the teams to watch.

• A Delaware loss in the CAA tournament, or a Green Bay loss in the Horizon tournament, would also knock out Texas because those leagues would gain an at-large bid to go with the automatic berth.
