shinaberry took care of the final out in the 4th, but we could not do with 2 walks in the 5th. Nohits there. Still at 2 hits after 5 innings. 1-3 behind.

Nothin from us in the top of 6th and 7th. And they score 3 more in the bot of 7th. A fielding error at first base, and a passed ball to go with 2 hits. Thee unearned runs. Now it is 1-7 we are behind. This ain't working. 7 runs on 9 hits for OSU and 1 run on 2 hits by us. On to top of 8th.

I was at a workshop today with only my blackberry to find out updates. No gametracker sucked, and this thread was tough to get much info. I guess it is sad when you look at that KState game that I think is in the classics section... we all used to care more about posting play by play and commentary about the game. I hope no one thinks I'm bitching about it because I have only helped do updates on a game like 3 times this season. it was also sadly interesting to see there were no game threads for the Sat and Sun game of the Tech series last weekend. I am definitely going to try and step it up a bunch myself, hopefully some of y'all can too.

With all the different message boards now (Orangebloods, Shaggy, Barking Carnival, and even the AAS one that I guess people still use) I find myself sometimes just going to Texags to see about what is going on. I am not saying anything bad about this site or the lack of enthusiasm about our baseball team... it's just an observation - I guess I just miss how this site used to blow Texags and any other fan BBS out there.

As far as this game is concerned, I can see how it wasn't much to post about. It is real telling with regard to our offensive struggles this year in that during the top of the ninth we had runners on 1st and 3rd with no outs and ended up leaving the bases loaded before losing the game 7-1. Hopefully Brandon Belt can come back soon and spark a lift in run production!

Oh, and I'm super siked about this game being televised tomorrow on Fox Sports Southwest. I loved that one season where there was a NHL strike and we got to see Texas play like 15 times. Here's to hoping that our guys can show the rest of the country that we are a team with a punched ticket to Omaha!

I had to run out after the 8 innings and could not complete the score update. 7-1 loss where we had only 4 hits, but had got six walks. Need to be able to score better than that. We just have to wake up and start hitting the ball, but then again, this was not one of our better pitched games either, as we gave up 9 hits and 5walks, and then a couple of mistakes caused three unearned runs too. OK, if we are going totally cold in batting, let it be in a worse-pitched game .. Hope things even up tomorrow and we wll win a game.

Amazing that the #1 pitching and fielding team in the country has 8 losses already.

goose, to the site's credit i didn't get over 10K posts by one word replies. i remember it was so easy for me to listen to a game and post batter by batter updates while i was at work or simply listening on the radio on away games.

that was a lot of fun. i simply don't have that time anymore. forgive me.
