Tough loss but Rice was the better team. This result was pretty much determined Friday when our first game against Rice was going to be with our #4 pitcher. Might have been different if Ruffin had been the starter or even Wood or Kasparek. Good luck in the super regionals to Rice and to Texas Ex Wayne Graham.

This is the time when I usually start to feel sorry for myself as a fan, but then realize that our players probably feel ten times worse than I do, and then wish that I could just give them a pat on the back and thank them for all their sacrifice and effort this season. Dang, especially the ones who just played their last game in a Longhorn uniform...

I think we will be very very good next year. We really did need to win that first game against SJ, but that's baseball.

I am excited about next year and can't wait to get back to Omaha.
