I'm considering driving up to Manhattan for the game Saturday, and I'm just curious if anyone here on HornFans has been to a game there before. Any tips on parking, recommended places to eat, anything else to do in Manhattan after the game, etc? I appreciate any help in advance

Been there four times. Bring winter clothes even if the forecast is good and bring ear plugs. We've always parked in the grass north of Kimball Ave north of the stadium. LOCK UP your stuff any time you're not actually using it, ESPECIALLY during the game. "The Little Apple Brewery" is a popular spot but will probably be a wait to get a seat after the game. Aggieville SE of campus has several watering holes serving the campus community.

Enjoy the drive. The Kansas Turnpike is one of the better maintained highways we've driven. Imagine crossing those plains in a covered wagon making 10-15 miles a day -- you'll have PLENTY time.

If driving through Kansas at night, be aware of deer. Drove through Kansas a few times at night and there are always people pulled over on the side of the road after hitting a deer.
