"Whenever two Texas Exes shall meet on March 2, they all shall sit and break bread and pay tribute to the institution that made their education possible."
The Texas Exes Austin Chapter invites you to help pay tribute to the great State of Texas and your beloved University of Texas for a Texas-sized, Texas Independence Day (TID) Party! This is one of our two biggest annual events; annually held on or around March 2 celebrating the Independence of Texas (March 2, 1836).
This family friendly party includes a birthday cake for the State of Texas, free appetizers, Texas Spirits face painters for the entire family, Wheel of Prizes for the kids, UT Cheerleaders, a small silent auction, free door prizes, complimentary beer, and live music from Matt Deaton all in the outdoor patio at Scholz Garten.
We had a great turnout last year with over 150 Texas Exes in attendance. Check out pictures here from the fun filled day.
All proceeds go to the Texas Exes Austin Chapter Scholarship Fund to create scholarships for Austin area high school students to attend The University of Texas for years to come.
Tickets are on sale below with tickets $10 for Texas Exes members, $12 for non-members and children 12 & under free. Online ticket sales end on Friday, March 5 with tickets available at the door for $15 so get your tickets now!!!
