Texas - Complete B12 Recruiting Dominance

Maybe I'm missing someone, but the only player we offered who went to an opposing B12 team was McFarland. That is some strong stuff being served by Mack.

Loston was just listed by Rivals as one of 30 top recruits with grade eligibility questions. Don't believe the staff felt Brent was the type of character Texas wanted.

That number is a bit misleading- we do well on head to heads, but we don't make an offer unless we are pretty sure it will be accepted. I actually wish our miss rate was a little higher due to us taking some chances- not chances on grades or character, but on kids that we like but have only a 1 in 4 shot at.

Our miss rate is absurdly low. Mack has recruited exceptionally well, but I think we should pursue at least 20 more of the really top guys nationwide. If we just get three more top 100 guys per year!

whom is this McFarland you speak of? I don't recall a recruit by that name that we really needed or wanted.

that's the first i've heard anything about brent's character, but i do believe grades were an issue. didn't know loston's were as well. i know they say they consider grades when assigning stars to recruits, but i don't believe it.

I understand Michael is fully qualified, but Texas just wanted on RB and wanted Whaley. Michael never really even got a sniff...much less an offer.
