Texas/Baylor v. LSU/Alabama

I have a chance to attend the LSU v. Alabama game in Baton Rouge, which is the same day we play Baylor in Austin. Which would you chose?

I don't miss many home games (I think two in the last 10 years) but I'd miss the Baylor game for LSU/Bama in Baton Rouge.

Been to LSU Bama in 04 and had an awesome time.... Get there early to tailgate and just walk around the stadium meeting people, drinking their beer and eating their food most are real nice. Also, so so so much talent

Yeah, I went to LSU/Ole Miss two years ago and it was one of the best sporting events I ever attended. I will most likely go to LSU/Bama, but I've missed maybe one home game in the past 10 years (for a family funeral), and I was just curious about what my fellow Hornfans posters would do.

That is what our inner-longhorn is telling us to do. However.. I don't consider that game a hxc Texas-football kind of game. That's more like Texas giving their annoying, unloved step-cousin a good beat-down before starting the rest of their day.

Go w/ Bama/LSU. There will be MANY other Baylor beat-downs for the taking later.. but very few options to go to a Bama/LSU game.

That's a tough one. I've been known to skip some crazy things to watch a TX game. This would be hard to pass up. I think this may be one of those situations where you won't know if you've done the right thing or not until AFTER the games are over.

It would kind of suck if LSU rolled them by 50 points whereas all sorts of exciting things happened at the TX game. I know; I know. Not likely.

Maybe I would make my decision as close to the weekend of the games as possible. If, for some reason, TX was undefeated at that point, I'd pick TX.

Definitely Bama v LSU. Besides all the factors mentioned above, you'll probably be able to enjoy the game without a fellow "fan" telling you to sit down and shut up.

Think about it this way. The best thing that could happen at UT/Baylor is UT winning by 50+. Otherwise, if you're like me, if we don't win by 50+, I am more worried about why we struggled against Baylor than I am happy we won.

If you go to LSU/Bama, it will be entertaining regardless of outcome.

The LSU-Bama game is going to be a war...

Nick will have Bama up and look to beat LSU, after losing the last 5 in a roll.

Miles will have the Tigers sky high, no one wants to lose to Nick.

Just say it could be the game of the year in the SEC, even over LSU-Auburn, LSU-Florida, Georgia-Florida, etc.

A weary nation is pondering just that. No Major. No John Sarah Jessica Parker Smith Smythe Smith Wilson. It's sad.

Why care about LSU? There's one team and one team only I care about. Everyone else is just there for entertainment when the team I care about isn't playing.

If Texas is undefeated, i would say you have to goto Baylor. If not, enjoy some cajun food and some people who will care about the game WAY to much (not that that's a bad thing). And be sure to stay seated the whole game

Until this past year, I had a streak going of not missing a UT home game since 1992. If the streak didn't end last year, I would likely do Baylor and keep the streak going to like 100 straight. But since the streak is busted (I actually missed 2 games last year), I would do LSU/Alabama.

I don't want this to trun into Texas vs LSU so:Baylor record the last 5 years:
18-40-0 for a 31.0%

Baylor has not won a game vs Texas since 1997

The avg score in the Texas vs Baylor game in the last five years has been:

59.4 to 11.0
