Texas 69 UCLA 59

The team played better, showing improvement from the first couple of games. The younger players are catching on to D 1 ball.

Nice win Horns!

I'm not too shocked we beat a now 2-5 team that lost to Loyola by 11 and Middle Tennessee by 20 followed by double digit losses to Kansas and Michigan.

I can't say this is any type of defining moment just because it's UCLA, but it does show the young team has some ability to be able to come back from 11 down in the first half on the road.

At this point I'm not too excited about how the team will come together as the season progresses, but we'll see.

The game is important because Brown returned to form after two very lackluster games - pouting from Barnes' calling him on the carpet for his NC State bonehead move?

UCLA looked about as good as UNT. Really poor shooting. I think the biggest thing to take from this game (other than the obvious awesomeness of a road win and Brown's big comeback) is that we won without the benefit of foul calls. Big time.
