in some ways, I wish it was Sunday night. I don't care to watch Tony Kornholer on my television.

On the Chronicle today one columnist was saying it should have been a Titans or Colts game...That no one knows about the Texans/Jaguars rivalry outside of those cities. That may be true but when those two teams meet you are almost virtually assured that it will be an exciting game where emotions can get out of control...in other words just what MNF wants.

I'm excitied too.

as long as Bud Adams is the owner, I don't root for the Titans, no matter if they draft VY or not.

Despite my love for all things Vince and my ownership of an autographed authentic jersey, I wholeheartedly agree with what the Cornhead said.

HNK,
off topic, but what were the circumstances when crouch almost quit at nu?

Admiral,

Basically it went something like this, though I'm not sure of all the details. In 1999, Crouch lost his job to Bobb Newcombe - as I recall, it was a short time after a putrid performance and a near loss to Southern Miss at home. When he lost his job, Crouch ran back to Omaha like a little schoolgirl, crying and threatening to quit the team. Only when Solich came to Omaha and assured Crouch of his job back did he come back to the team and was named the #1 starter.

Crouch = good when things are good, but when they're bad, he's bad.

Intereresting points, Husker. I've heard similar complaints about Eric from people in Huskerland.

As for MNF,

I like the idea of being able to jump on the train after work and get an early start on tailgaiting. Yippee!
