One of those games where they were playing "fairly hot" happened to be one where their newfound savior Hales got shelled in an 0-9 loss. This is after they had thrown the other Friday started under the bus who they just loved because he talked a bunch of smack before our series.

I have no idea what it must be like to be a fan of that school. First of all, you'd have to graduate from there... if you don't it would be unbearable to hear them blast all other fan bases that have "T-shirt fans", which is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Why care if someone goes to the school or not? They like the sports and the teams. Weirdos.

Another thing is too is that I couldn't deal with the delusion. I honestly believe we are a grounded and realistic fanbase because we get to see on a daily basis what it looks like to be out-of-your-mind-stupid about your team... It's a lot like having a brother that gets in trouble all the time. You see what he does and do the opposite and get along better with your parents and get the nicer car. I would be banned from Texags if i were an aggie because I would be telling them how idiotic they are all the time.

It's as if there really aren't gems anymore... they are just dissapointments when the threads are boring. practically every single thread is a gem because they are all delusional super idiots.

Dont even get me started on how they all probably cry at Hallmark comericals... they are the most emotional and sentimental fanbase out there. They get misty eyed everytime someone walks across some ugly street on their campus. Read a post from 3rd Generation Ag sometime - you can practically see the tears streaming down this dude's face.
 
Good post from an A&M fan who sounds reasonably intelligent in response to a claim that Aggy's schedule is to blame for their end-of-season woes and that the Big 12 is out to get them:

A&M is a fine institution with some unique traditions and characteristics. If they left it at that, it would probably be pretty cool.

But the cheating in the 80s turned them into something different. It's hard to explain unless you know Aggies who went through the change from adding coeds to the campus to today. Aggies were always accepting of their second-tier status while retaining the stuff that makes them special. Now, they're just effed in the head in many different ways.

Some of them were saying it isn't fair that they had to play Texas and Oklahoma on the road to end the season and that Texas got a weekend off before the Big 12 tournament, blah blah blah. The usual.

The Big 12 gives every school a week off during conference play, and the school decides (before the schedule is made, of course) when to use it. A&M chose to use theirs the first weekend in May. Texas uses theirs the weekend during final exams EVERY year, and it just so happened to be the last weekend of the regular season this year. They're acting like it's a big conspiracy against them. Naturally.
 
it has nothing to do with whether the AD wants to sell out the jumbotron to a corporate sponsor or whether aggies put money into their program. aggies put as much money into their program as anyone else, i bet they have a much higher expense:win ratio than we do. the reason they suck is because aggies are a bunch of ******* wierdos and no blue chip high school recruit wants to go to bumfuck college station in the middle of nowhere where the hitler youth tries to bend each other over in the stands. the second tier recruits would much rather go to a "normal" place like baylor or tech...hahaha
