Where is it and is it any good?? A friend was telling me about it and then I heard a UTEX owns them and now he is running for Mayor in Dallas.

What good to order there too?? I 've heard about them for years, just never gone to eat there.

...has everything you need to know.

Quite simply, you must order a cheesesteak. I have them leave off the onions...because I hate them. You then get your choice of sauce. I always go for hickory, but many others swear by ranch or mustard blend. You can always have them put the sauce on the side so you can test it and/or put on just the right amount.

Joel Stanley is the original owner, but has since franchised the restaurant. Regardless, Joel is a class-act guy. I started frequenting the Guadalupe location (b/t 24th and 25th Streets) about 10 years ago.
Mayor of Dallas...wouldn't know.

The queso is pretty good -- spicey.

A cold beer always tastes good there as well.

Cheesesteak sammich. No onions. Extra mustard blend. I've noticed the other locations don't seem to put the proper heft into their sandwiches, compared to the Drag location. The proper cheesesteak ought to be bulging, oozing, more innards than bun.
