This is supposed to be a new golf course now open in the Austin area but I can't seem to find contact or web info. on the course, Anyone know about this/have played it yet and contact info.

I haven't played it yet, but I took a lesson out there about 6 weeks ago and it looks nice. The range was great. The pro shop number is 651-9850. I took a lesson from a guy named Richard Ethridge. Great guy.

actually, go to:The Link

they are one of my clients. I played out there last week. Course is in great shape. The course itself is not too terribly long, but you must place many of your tee shots amongst water and traps. Approach shots on some holes are also challenging.

Teravista has done a great job of continuing the trend of quality new courses in the area. It is comparable, in terms of quality and price, to Star Ranch and Avery Ranch.

I think the main difference is the professionalism of the staff. It is a Troon managed/owned course. They are known for running great courses.

shot a 79, by the way ( I was -1 through 7 then hit a wall )

Troon also runs La Cantera in S.A., Fish Creek (Steve Elkington design) and Wind Rose in Houston. First class management group.

I played there Saturday and its in A+++++ shape. I disagree with the "not too long" type comment. If you play either of the back two sets of tees, you'll have your hands full on many holes from a length standpoint and the shorter ones will give you a green surrounded by water or something. An excellent test, and great staff to boot.

Star Ranch is a nice track but I hate driving so far out. But fair course, with the toughest thing basically being if you go OB as the rough is waste high grass.

hell i haven't played in months, but Anyone know anything about the course thats just on the other side of 620 on Parmer? It looks pretty nice and it's closer to my house. Contemplating blowing off a day next week and giving it a shot if the weather agrees with me.

you're thinking of Avery Ranch. The course, in terms of quality and somewhat the layout, is similar to Teravista. There are some forced carries and challenging holes. The tees are set-up so that all levels can play. If you've enjoyed Star Ranch or Teravista, you'll enjoy Avery.

Played TeraVista after reading this thread and am happy to report back that it is awesome. In great shape, went out on a sunny, warm Saturday afternoon and there was no one around us. Payed $31 for super twilight, included cart. If you haven't already, go play

Has anyone played out their in the past week or so? My buddies were thinking about going out there again, but we wanted to make sure they had the mango scented towels.

Reminded me of a dancer named Jordan who I used to visit at Sugars many years ago. And to the guy who said service sets them apart, you are so right. We have played most of the courses in town and Teravista is our favorite.

I haven't played it lately but I drive by there pretty often and it looks fantastic. Even better than when I played it last and it was great then.

I played it two weeks ago in a tournament and was very impressed. It was in great shape and the course was very appeasing. The staff is great and very accomodating. the greens were pretty fast as well.
