Just read a fantastic interview of Teri Garr on the onion's av club.

I've always been quite the fan (NO SEX AT ALL) of her earlier work, but this interview just puts me over the top:

About being called "ditzy":

Steven Spielberg always said, "To play the dumb blonde, you have to be really smart. Except in your case." One of his ******* jokes. Bastard.

worth a read if you have time to kill (kind of long): The Link

Good read. Thanks for posting.

I had forgotten about some of those roles, (and certainly never heard of some of them), but I will always remember her for Young Frankenstein. She was smokin in that movie.

I always loved Teri Garr. And now that I think about it, she was in three of my all-time favorite comedies: Young Frankenstein, Tootsie, and Mr. Mom.

Before stardom:

Teri Garr as secretary/sidekick to
Gary Seven (Robert Lansing) in
Star Trek episode Assignment: Earth

(Gene Roddenberry had hoped to spin this off into a separate series, but the networks weren't interested.)
