Television Service- San Antonio

So we are moving to San Antonio next month and I remember some previous threads on tv service. We are buying a house in the Bitters/Blanco area. Does anyone have any suggestions, recommendations, services to avoid?

Any and all help is appreciated. Also, access to the Longhorn Network is a non-negotiable.

ATT sucks. We have to replace equipment constantly and it takes about an hour to speak to a human about it. The humans you finally speak to are cool and responsive, but as soon as our contracts run out and as soon as our house is sold we will say adios. Others may be worse, but they suck.

If you can stomach it use this as a time to kick cable to the curb and save lots and lots of money without missing much if anything at all. The first couple of weeks is weird and you have to find things to do since you won't be wasting your life going channel to channel looking for something to keep you busy.

I found that when I only looked for shows I really liked I really only watched 1/4 of what I would watch with cable. I get a lot more done and I save over a hundred bucks a month.

The only drawbacks is that I wait for HBO series to come out on box set and don't watch shows (if on cable networks) the night they come out. I have to wait a whole day. Same goes for network shows if I am not home.

I suggest that if you can do this you just start out without cable. You can stream through your computer and even your bluray player if it has the ability like mine does. All you need is internet and you run through that. I have saved about 850 bucks if not a little more in the last few months alone.

Get past that first two weeks and you won't ever look back.
