Tejada two years older than Astros thought

I'm guessing he's not the only major leaguer from another country to lie about his age.

I wonder if you have to list your DOB when you sign a contract, and if so he can be sued for it?

When you lie about your age from when you're a teenager, I wonder if you eventually forget that it's not your real age.

Everytime I hear 'Tejada' mentioned, I think about this song:The Link

It's partially Chris Berman's fault, but considering Tejada's issues with steriods/perjury and now the age thing, I think it's all too appropriate.

I think this "revelation" is overblown and ESPN trying to create a story. Funny thing about all this is that his green card, birth certificate & drivers license all have the correct DOB on it and it has been correct since he got them

I am guessing this was not much of a surprise to anyone.

Tejada is a liar and a deceiver. I will cheer for him cause he's on my hometown team, but he will never be one of my favorites.
There needs to be action taken. There are so many people in Houston that idolize him and the message needs to be sent that it is not acceptable to lie and deceive your employers.

I agree eflow. I don't think these MLB team's are being duped. Pretty sure they have the resources to figure this stuff out, especially when the guy's DL, etc have his correct date of birth.

Also would think this would be more of an issue if say he were 35 resigning a 4-5 year or something when he was actually 37. ESPN pretending to do investigative journalism is just outright funny.
