Tech leading #10 Wash at half

When the game tipped off I was trying to remember who they replaced Pat Knight with. I'd already written him off. But he's got them off to a 7-0 start. Big XII might be loaded this year. As good as when TJ was at Texas, Price was at OU, and KU had Hinrich.

Tech has a lot of athletes. Besides Roberson and Okorie, they are all about 6'5" to 6'8" and are long. Pat Knight is trying to model his team after Mizzou...they are not close to there yet, but are getting better.

That 7-0 is against a creampuff schedule, with the possible exception of Stephen F. Austin, which suffered its other loss to Minnesota, but by 40 points. Tech is improved, no doubt, but don't get fooled by the record.

Singletary will pose problems for lots of teams with his ability to lean in on his shot in the interior and score while drawing contact, and Reese is really giving Washington fits.

That was a horrible last possession Tech had. Take the air out when the shot clock would leave 11 seconds for Washington? Wait until there are only 11 seconds on the shot clock to get the ball to the point guard? Point guard pick up his dribble with 5 seconds to go on the shot clock? Awful.

Big 12 is better than the last few years, but nowhere near the 2003 season. That league had three legit top 5 teams. This year there's UT, KU, and everybody else so far...

And Tech didn't learn a damn thing at the end of the first half. They have the ball with 11 seconds more on the game clock than the shot clock. They dribble away to under 10 seconds on the shot clock, then Roberson drives to the free throw line

AND PICKS UP THE DRIBBLE WITH NOTHING TO DO

Idiot

Edit: So they get bailed bout by refs not calling an intentional foul for jumping on top of a Washington player who misses two free throws and Singletary nails it at the buzzer.

Or was it in time?

Looks off his fingers before the light comes on.

Re-edit: They call overtime.
